1. Agreeing to these terms
Sports Trivia Game is a free daily sports trivia game run by WMI Ventures LLC, a company based in New York, USA ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Service are a contract between you and us. By visiting or playing Sports Trivia Game, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Sports Trivia Game.
2. Who can play
Sports Trivia Game is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian, who agrees to them on your behalf.
3. No affiliation with leagues, teams or players
Sports Trivia Game is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected in any way to the National Basketball Association (NBA), the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer (MLS), or any other league, team, club, player, players' association or governing body.
None of them has reviewed, approved or licensed Sports Trivia Game, and nothing on Sports Trivia Game should be read as saying they have.
4. Trademarks and names
League, team and player names, nicknames, logos and other marks belong to their owners. Sports Trivia Game uses names only to identify who or what a trivia question is about. That use does not mean any owner supports or is connected to Sports Trivia Game.
The artwork in Sports Trivia Game is original pixel art made for the game. It is not meant to copy any official logo, uniform or design. If you own a mark or other work and have a concern about how it appears on Sports Trivia Game, contact us at hello@sportstriviagame.com and we will review it promptly.
5. Trivia is for fun
Sports Trivia Game is provided for entertainment only. We research every question and list sources, but sports records change and mistakes happen. We do not promise that any question, answer, statistic or story is accurate, complete or up to date.
Do not rely on Sports Trivia Game for betting, fantasy sports, research or any other decision. If you spot an error, please use "Report this question."
6. What we own
Sports Trivia Game and everything we created for it, including the questions and the way they are selected and written, the answer stories, the artwork, the commentary lines, the mini-games, the design and the code, belong to WMI Ventures LLC or the people who licensed them to us. They are protected by copyright and other laws. Facts themselves, such as a player's real statistics, are not owned by anyone.
We give you a personal, limited permission to play Sports Trivia Game for your own non-commercial enjoyment. You may not copy, sell, republish or build on our content except as these terms allow. We keep all rights we do not expressly give you.
7. Rules for using Sports Trivia Game
When you use Sports Trivia Game, you agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated tools to play the game, collect answers or copy content;
- copy, download in bulk, republish or share the question bank, upcoming questions or answers, or use them to build another game, product or dataset (including training AI systems);
- copy our artwork, commentary or code;
- break, overload, or interfere with the site or its security, or try to get around any limits we set;
- show Sports Trivia Game inside another website (framing) or pretend to be us or connected to us;
- interfere with ads, for example by clicking ads you are not interested in or using tools to fake views or clicks;
- use Sports Trivia Game in any way that breaks the law or harms other people.
8. Sharing your scores
You are welcome to share the score summary that the Share button creates, anywhere you like. Please avoid posting answers in a way that spoils the day's game for others.
9. Reports and feedback
If you send us a question report, an idea or other feedback, you allow us to use it to improve Sports Trivia Game without paying you or giving you credit. Please do not send anything you consider confidential.
10. Advertising
Sports Trivia Game is free because we plan to show ads, including ads from Google AdSense. Ads are chosen and supplied by third parties. We do not endorse the products or services advertised and are not responsible for them. Our Privacy Policy explains how ads use cookies and how to control them.
11. Links to other websites
Answers link to outside sources, such as sports statistics sites, news outlets and league websites, so you can check facts and read more. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse a site, and a site does not endorse Sports Trivia Game by being linked.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you play Sports Trivia Game. It is part of these terms.
13. No warranties
Sports Trivia Game is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether stated or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
We do not promise that Sports Trivia Game will always be available, free of errors or bugs, secure, or that your saved progress will never be lost.
14. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, WMI Ventures LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or money (including betting or fantasy losses), arising from or related to Sports Trivia Game or these terms, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for any claim related to Sports Trivia Game or these terms will not be more than fifty U.S. dollars (US$50).
Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
15. Your responsibility for misuse
If you break these terms or misuse Sports Trivia Game and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) we face because of it, to the extent the law allows.
16. Changes and ending access
We may change, pause or stop Sports Trivia Game, or any part of it, at any time. We may also block anyone who breaks these terms.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top, and if a change is significant, we will give a clear notice on the site. If you keep using Sports Trivia Game after a change takes effect, you agree to the updated terms.
17. New York law and courts
These terms, and any dispute about Sports Trivia Game or these terms, are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its rules about which law applies, and by U.S. federal law where it applies.
Any lawsuit about Sports Trivia Game or these terms must be brought only in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we agree to those courts' authority. Before filing any claim, please contact us first so we can try to settle it informally.
18. Other terms
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Sports Trivia Game.
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
- If we do not enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours, for example if Sports Trivia Game is sold.
- Sections 3 through 6 and 13 through 18 keep applying even after you stop using Sports Trivia Game.
